Badminton Victoria

Upcoming Grants & Collaboration Opportunities

Badminton Victoria (BV) is committed to supporting clubs across Victoria in growing participation, creating inclusive environments, and building stronger badminton communities. One way we do this is by applying for grants that help fund meaningful local initiatives.

This page outlines grant applications that BV is currently preparing or exploring. If your club would like to be involved whether by running community sessions, hosting events, or engaging specific target groups, we invite you to express your interest by completing the following form: Grants Expression of Interest Form

By joining us from the early planning stage, your club will have the opportunity to:

  • Access funding to support local programs and events
  • Reach new or underrepresented groups in your community
  • Receive support in delivering inclusive and impactful initiatives
  • Strengthen your club’s connection with state-wide participation efforts

We’ve worked with clubs across Victoria to deliver grant-funded programs focused on increasing participation, empowering women and girls, supporting CALD and regional communities, and building volunteer capacity. You can find examples of these previously funded projects below.

Please note: this is not a grant application form. It is an opportunity for your club to collaborate with BV on future programs that we are currently seeking funding for.

Regional All Abilities Grant  The All Abilities Badminton Program is an inclusive badminton initiative creating ongoing participation opportunities for people with disabilities in Ballarat and regional Victoria. Supported by Ballarat Badminton Association through free venue access and equipment, the program removes financial barriers and improves accessibility. Weekly adaptive sessions will cater to wheelchair users, standing players, and those needing modified equipment in a flexible, social environment. Come and Try events, targeted promotion, and local disability partnerships will boost participation. Co-designed online resources will support other regional clubs to establish sustainable inclusive badminton programs across Victoria. Sport and Recreation Victoria Ballarat 2025-26
Regional All Abilities Grant  The All Abilities Badminton Regional Inclusion Ambassador Program will employ para-badminton athlete and coach Michael Simpkins to build a more inclusive badminton workforce in regional Victoria. After completing specialist training with Badminton Australia, Michael will deliver All Abilities Badminton Clinics in three regions in regional Victoria, providing on-court demonstrations, inclusive coaching education, and disability awareness training for clubs. The project is important because regional clubs often lack confidence and skills to support people with disability and other marginalised groups. By using lived experience and practical training, the program strengthens local capability and creates meaningful pathways for inclusive participation.
