This pathway is for anyone who wants to get involved in badminton through coaching. It’s suitable for current or former players, parents, teachers, volunteers, or anyone interested in helping others learn and enjoy the sport.
Why should I do this?
Coaching is a rewarding way to stay connected to badminton, support player development, and give back to your community. It also offers opportunities to build skills, gain nationally recognised accreditation, and progress into paid or advanced coaching roles.
Coaching in Australia requires you to attain an approved qualification and be registered with Badminton Australia
To begin coaching, you will need to enrol in an approved coaching course and register with Badminton Australia. You must be passionate about diversity and inclusion and be willing to help develop the skills and abilities of new players. Some roles may require a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). No prior coaching experience is required for entry-level courses.
Become a qualified badminton coach by enrolling in our courses.
Course fees include registration and accreditation fees with Badminton Australia.
