
It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Gary Grierson, who passed away peacefully on July 23, at the age of 82.
Gary's deep love for the sport was evident throughout his extensive contributions. He was a dedicated technical official, serving as an umpire from 2011 until his retirement. His work also extended to organising the line judges' group on behalf of the BV Court Officials Committee (not the BV Technical Officials Committee) for a variety of tournaments including the Deaflympics 2005 and Commonwealth Games 2006.
Gary's commitment extended to administrative roles serving as a member and treasurer of the BV Court Officials Committee an as a Committee Member of the Central Badminton Association (CBA) since 1994.

Gary's dedication was recognised with the Distinguished Service Award from Badminton Victoria in 2013, The unwavering passion and tireless efforts have left an enduring Legacy on our badminton community.
