Funded by Sport and Recreation Victoria as part of the Regional Revitalisation Program, Shuttle Smash continues to introduce young participants to the sport of badminton across the Mid Gippsland region. The program aims to create a fun, welcoming, and beginner-friendly environment where juniors can learn new skills, stay active, and connect with others in their local community.
The Shuttle Smash session in Labertouche brought together young players who were eager to try badminton through engaging activities and on-court games. The program is delivered by the Mid Gippsland Junior Badminton Association with support from Badminton Victoria, helping introduce the sport at a grassroots level while encouraging participation and confidence among junior players.

Shuttle Smash Mid Gippsland will continue in Warragul with upcoming sessions on 20 March and 27 March 2026. The session on 27 March will feature food including BBQ, donuts, ice cream, and Gippsland Jersey milkshakes. New players who register for the 2026 MGJBA season will also have the chance to win a free racquet.
We would like to thank Louise Young from Mid Gippsland Junior Badminton Association for her support in helping deliver the program and encouraging more young players to get involved in badminton.
