The Macedon Ranges Badminton Club recently hosted a successful Come and Try Badminton event as part of the Regional Badminton Revitalisation Program, funded by Sports and Recreation Victoria.
The event aimed to introduce badminton to the local community and encourage greater participation within the club. Open to people of all ages and experience levels, the session provided an opportunity for community members to get active, learn new skills, and experience the enjoyment of badminton in a welcoming environment.
Several participants attended the event, including those who had never played badminton before. Throughout the session, attendees were introduced to the basic skills of the sport and had the chance to participate in a range of fun and engaging activities. The event created a positive atmosphere where participants could learn, play, and connect with others in the community.

The Macedon Ranges Badminton Club noted that events such as these play an important role in growing badminton across regional Victoria by providing accessible opportunities for people to get involved.
The club looks forward to welcoming even more participants to future sessions and continuing to build a strong and active badminton community in the Macedon region.
Badminton Victoria would like to extend our sincere thanks to David Aitken and Ian Strachan from the Macedon Ranges Badminton Club for their efforts in organising and delivering this event. Their dedication and commitment to promoting badminton within the local community have helped create a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants.
