Badminton Victoria – Notice Of 93rd Annual General Meeting

1. Notice is hereby given that the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Badminton Victoria will be held at Champions Room, Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on 26th April at 9:45am arrival for 10am start. Online meeting access will be made available to our regional members via Zoom.

2. AGENDA – any notices of motion under the Constitution (Clause 11.3(b)) to be included in the agenda must be received in writing no later than Sunday, 29th March 2026.

Motions to be submitted in writing to Varshana Kumara Swamy (Community Engagement Manager)

3. Business - The business of the AGM shall be to:

a) Confirm the minutes of the 2025 AGM,

b) Receipt of the 2025 Annual Report,

c) Presentation of 2025 Audited Annual Financial Statements,

d) Appointment of the Auditor to the Association,

e) Motions received,

f) Election of Board Directors,

g) Election of Life Members

h) Distinguished Service Awards and Service Awards Recognition, and

i) Attend to any general business items.

4. Elections - The following positions are due for election: 2 x Director (elected) – 2 year appointment

Incumbents: Simon Lynch and one vacant position.

Board Director nominations must be received no later than Sunday, 29th March 2026.

5. Voting - Only the nominated delegate from each member with voting rights in attendance can vote. Further information relating to the voting procedure for the ‘Election of Board Directors” will be provided in due time.

6. Awards – The award nominations for Life Members, Distinguished Service Award and Service Award must be received no later than Sunday 29th March 2026

7. Questions - Questions from members are welcome. We encourage members to submit questions in writing to Varshana Kumara Swamy (Community Engagement Manager) at least seven days prior to the AGM

Questions received will be discussed following the conclusion of the AGM.

8. AGM Document Pack - The AGM document pack including the Final Agenda, 2025 Annual Report, 2025 Audited Annual Financial Statements, motions and information regarding nominees for board director positions, life membership, distinguished service awards and service awards will be shared with our members by Sunday, 5th April 2026.

9. REGISTRATION – Registrations of Delegates and Observers must be completed by C.O.B. 12th April 2026.
