On 26 April 2026, Badminton Victoria (BV) successfully held its 93rd Annual General Meeting (AGM), bringing together Board Directors, Life Members, committee members, affiliated clubs and staff from across Victoria. Members from both metropolitan and regional badminton clubs were represented, with some joining the AGM online.

The Annual General Meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on a year of strong progress for badminton in Victoria, highlighting key achievements across participation, performance and community development in 2025.

As part of the governance process, members also elected two Board Directors, Dr Simon Lynch and Wynne Yip to support the organisation’s continued growth.

Badminton Victoria President, Joseph Yeung, reflected on the organisation’s positive momentum:

“The organisation has had another wonderful year, and we look forward to that success continuing into the next 12 months.”

Badminton Victoria CEO, Clint Proctor, also highlighted the organisation’s focus moving forward:

“As badminton continues to grow across Victoria, we are strengthening how we support clubs, advocate for the sport, and build a sustainable future for our community.”

A key highlight of the AGM was the recognition of the 2025 Badminton Victoria perpetual award recipients, celebrating excellence and contribution across all levels of badminton in Victoria.

Wanjiao Luo, recipient of the recipient of the Julie McDonald Trophy, shared:

“Thank you to Badminton Victoria for recognising my hard work this year. This motivates me to keep improving and aim higher.”

Mischa Ginns, recipient of the Kay Coady Trophy, is already focused on upcoming international competition:

“I’ve got two tournaments coming up in June in France and Ireland, and I’m excited for the 2028 Paralympic qualification period ahead.”

As badminton continues to grow across Victoria, Badminton Victoria remains committed to supporting clubs, developing athletes, and strengthening the badminton community at all levels.
