Badminton Victoria is pleased to recommence a major event partnership with Yonex, which includes naming rights for the Elite Series and historic Victorian Open for the next two years.
Badminton Victoria CEO Clint Proctor welcomed the partnership, describing it as a significant enhancement for the sport throughout the state.
“Yonex is a highly influential brand within the world of badminton, and this partnership represents a major step forward for our sport in Victoria,” he said.
“Beyond naming rights, the partnership unlocks exciting new opportunities to grow and strengthen badminton across Victoria.
“We have built a strong relationship with the Yonex team over many years, and securing this partnership is the beginning of a new chapter.
“There are some exciting initiatives launching in 2026, and we are looking forward to bringing them to life together with Yonex to elevate our players, events, and community.”
Yonex Brand Manager Michael Fariman said the partnership will strengthen the Victorian badminton community.
“At Yonex, our mission is to bring the world together by deepening people’s connection to sports and to each other,” he said.
“By supporting the Elite Series for the next two years, Yonex and Badminton Victoria will continue to showcase our sport and create more opportunities for athletes of all ages to compete.
“Re-establishing our partnership with Badminton Victoria, following our earlier two-year Elite Series sponsorship from 2020 to 2021, reaffirms our support for the advancement of badminton throughout Victoria.”
The first event of the 2026 YONEX Elite Series will be held in Ballarat at the Ken Kay Badminton Stadium in February.
