BWF Level 1 Coaching Course                                                                                                                         

Coaches who wish to register for this course will be required to attend both weekends and should have previous coaching experience, and/or a background as a high performance player and/or hold a previous coaching qualification (e.g. Shuttle Time Coaching Certificate, BA Foundation Course Certificate).

Upon completion of the course, candidates will become an internationally recognised accredited BWF Level 1 Coach. Accreditation permits the coach to coach at state level and in club, community, school and private sectors.

By registering for this course you are not automatically accepted, BV reserves the right to cancel registrations if the pre-requisites for the course have not been met.

What is involved?

1. Completion of the following online modules pre-course (only complete these if accepted into the course):
   • BWF Online Level 1 module (https://development.bwfbadminton.com/coaches/online-component) - Optional but recommended
   • Register for and download the BWF Level 1 Manual (https://development.bwfbadminton.com/coaches/level-1)
   • Complete the Sport Australia General Coaching Principles modules
     (https://www.sportaus.gov.au/coaching/course)
   • Complete the Sport Australia Play by the Rules - Child Protection module (https://elearning.sportintegrity.gov.au/login/index.php)
   • Complete the Sport Australia Play by the Rules - Harassment and Discrimination module https://elearning.sportintegrity.gov.au/login/index.php
2. The above pre-course requirements should only be completed upon acceptance into the course.

Please note that a Badminton Australia registration and accreditation fee is charged by BA directly when you register via https://badmintonaustralia.thinkific.com/courses/coach-registration upon successfully completing the course.
