Badminton Victoria has launched its Strategic Plan 2026–2028, setting a clear direction for the continued growth and sustainability of badminton across Victoria. 

The plan has been developed through consultation with the Board and the wider badminton community, including clubs, associations, coaches, athletes, officials, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders. This collaborative approach has ensured that the Strategic Plan reflects the needs, priorities, and aspirations of the sport across the state. 

At the core of the Strategic Plan are four key pillars — Play, Pathways, Partner, and Promote — which guide how Badminton Victoria will support participation, strengthen development pathways, work collaboratively with its community, and raise the profile of badminton in Victoria. These pillars are supported by organisational enablers including People, Culture, Governance, Financial Sustainability, and Technology, providing a strong foundation for delivery. All initiatives and priorities outlined in the plan are grounded in Badminton Victoria’s Purpose, Vision, and Values. 

Together, the Strategic Plan provides a practical framework to guide Badminton Victoria’s work over the next three years, ensuring the needs and interests of members and participants remain central, while supporting the long-term sustainability of the sport.

Joseph Yeung, President of Badminton Victoria, said the plan marks an exciting next chapter for the organisation. “As the governing body for badminton in Victoria, Badminton Victoria is at the forefront of growing and nurturing our sport across the state. I’m excited about the next chapter as we continue to roll out new initiatives that support participants at all levels.” 

Clint Proctor, CEO of Badminton Victoria, said “Our Strategic Plan 2026–28 sets a clear and purposeful direction for growing badminton across Victoria, grounded in inclusion, connection, and long-term sustainability. By strengthening participation, pathways, partnerships, and the profile of our sport - supported by strong governance, people, culture, and technology - we are building a badminton community where everyone can belong, thrive, and succeed.”
