Ashwant Gobinathan and Ann-Louise Slee recognised for best competition performance in 2016



Badminton Victoria congratulates Ashwant Gobinathan and Ann-Louise Slee on their outstanding overall performance in 2016.

In recognition of their achievements in Victorian badminton, Ashwant has been awarded the Ern Harding Memorial Trophy, and for Ann, the Robert Bruce Maxfield Perpetual Trophy for 2016.


About the ERN HARDING MEMORIAL TROPHY A perpetual trophy donated by Sir Albert Jennings, who played badminton with Ern Harding, the first Vice-President when the Victorian Badminton Association was formed. The trophy is awarded to the man with the best aggregate performance over the calendar year.

About the ROBERT BRUCE MAXFIELD PERPETUAL TROPHY First presented in 1969 to the man or woman player who returned the best performances in tournaments. Since 1971 the trophy is awarded to the man with the best aggregate performance over the calendar year.
