With the support of the Warrnambool City Council, Warrnambool Badminton Association will host the 2017 Victorian Junior Regional Teams Championships sanctioned by Badminton Victoria. The event will run on Sunday, 7th of May 2017 at Warrnambool Stadium.

The main purpose of the event is for participation, enjoyment, and development of junior players (in Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 age groups) who are inexperienced in tournament play. Players with more experience in selection tournaments are invited to enter the Junior Open category.

Badminton associations affiliated with Badminton Victoria are invited to enter teams made up of 4 players of any composition (e.g. 1 boy and 3 girls). Teams will compete in rounds consisting of 6 matches of doubles. Associations may enter more than one team in any category.

Free Junior Coaching Session - Warrnambool

Cost: Free (Including lunch - sandwiches and drink)

To coincide with the 2017 Victorian Regional Team Championships, the Warrnambool Badminton, in partnership with Badminton Victoria, will be offering a coaching session for interested juniors on Saturday May 6th, from 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM at Warrnambool Stadium.

The session will be under the guidance of Brandon Olver, NCAS Level 1A Coach and past Victorian Junior and Senior representative and coach of U17 Victoria Demons last year. Current Victorian representatives will be assisting with coaching and play an exhibition match at the end of the training session.

This is a great opportunity to train with players from other associations, as well as learn from different coaches.

Badminton Victoria and Warrnambool Badminton will be sponsoring the session, so participation is free. Lunch will be also provided on the day (includes sandwiches and a drink).
